The Northlands

The northern lands are inhabited by various bear and wolf tribes. The wolves live in seemingly archaic nomadic clan structures and roam freely through the forests and tundra that cover the northeast of the continent. The forest bears live in small communities in the areas west of the Dragon's Ridge Mountains and make their living by fishing and trading timber. The frost bear tribes, in turn, are the only people who live on the frozen coast and beyond. But in the icy expanses beyond the vast pine forests of the northern lands, there are also hot springs and the fabled Fire of the Sky.

Hyjagallamond

Hyjangallamond is the northernmost island – a land of eternal ice and subterranean fire. Only the Frostbears travel so far north.

The Wasteland

In the northeast lies the Wasteland. The plains beyond the Redrock Mountains are a hostile wasteland. A terrible war transformed the once-flourishing plains into a sea of black glass, where only the restless ghosts of the past roam.

Loban's Peak

Named after a legendary warrior, this ancient mountain has always towered over the vast Darkwood Forest. Eerie legends speak of supernatural perils lurking in its shadow.

Redrock Mountains

The myths surrounding the Red Rock Mountains are far darker than those about Loban's Peak. For it was here that the Red Queen once held power, and it is rumored that some of her wickedness remains bound to the very stone and soil.

Klipphaven

This modest fishing village lies north of the western foothills of the Dragon’s Ridge Mountains. Despite its unassuming size, Klipphaven is one of the best-known settlements in the Northern Lands, as it is the southernmost trading port of the Forrestbear tribes. Here, every spring, the seafaring guild merchants of the Griffin Kingdom conclude their most important contracts for the North’s most vital resource: wood.

Even though there are goods that are significantly more valuable per pound, without the wood shipments from the Northern Lands, innovation, expansion, and the creation of prosperity in the Griffin Kingdom would be curtailed - and might even come to a standstill.

Dragon Ridge Mountains

The Dragon's Ridge forms a natural border between the Northlands and the provinces of the Griffin Kingdom to the south.
